Can you offer some practical advise for sharing my faith with someone? Sometimes I feel so inadequate.

Be creative.
A rigid presentation of a gospel tract is sometimes helpful, but sharing our faith is not mechanical. God knows how to reach each individual in a unique way.

Be sensitive.
There are times to share and times not to share. Allow the Holy Spirit to show you the difference.

Be gradual.
It is difficult to move a person from talking about his favorite football team to considering the depravity of sin. Gradually move your conversation to deeper levels - ethics and morals in government, the problem of drugs and alcohol, anything that stretches someone's thinking past superficial trivia.

Be gentle.
Don't ever argue over religion. We are to gently present the gospel message. Remember, salvation is an offer from God, not an obligation.

Be persistent.
Few people come to know Christ without time and deliberation. Don't give up on anyone. Continue to share the love of God, regardless of the response.

Be loving.
We are called to love people unconditionally. That means we must love unbelievers just as they are. If you are waiting until your friend is saved before relating to him or her, you are hindering God's compassion toward that friend.

Be personal.
Your own testimony of what Christ has done in your life is your unique story. Tell it from your heart, and don't worry about following some predetermined outline.

Be specific.
Remember, your goal is to lead your friends to understand that Christ's death on the cross did for them what they could not do for themselves - paid their sin debt in full. By faith they are to receive Christ as their personal Savior.

The following Bible passages focus on our need for salvation and what we must do to enter a meaningful relationship with Christ:

Awareness of our sinful nature
     Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23

Belief in Jesus Christ
     Acts 16:31, Romans 10:8-9, John 1:12-13

Repentance of sins
     Luke 24:46-47, Acts 13:38-39, 1 John 1:9

Receiving Jesus as Savior
     John 1:11, Revelation 3:20
