If you are a Christian and are in fellowship with God, you will want to learn more about how to grow closer to Him. The Bible calls this growing "in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ" (2 Peter 3:18).
One of the ways to grow in your relationship with the Lord is to read and study your Bible. I know for many of us, time is an issue but if we're to live the life God wants us to live and fulfill His plan and purpose for our lives, we've got to be reading the Word. Go without the Bible for any length of time will lead us away from God and we'll find ourselves drifting and getting into all kinds of sin.
The Bible is God's revelation to man. Within it's pages you'll find how God worked in the life of many people and how He sent Jesus to die for our sins. It has all the principles that we need to live a successful and contented life filled with joy, peace and happiness.
Some of you might ask "How could these principles apply to my life when they were written so long ago?" Remember that the Bible says God is the same today, yesterday and forever and He never changes. And what God says, is true. The Bible says He cannot lie. First, you need to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior if you haven't already. Then make it your priority that you will put Him first in your life. And be consistent which means that no matter what is going on in your life or how much time you have or don't have, you will have this relationship with Him. Discipline yourself.
